Tourist Information about Vatican City

Vatican City is the world's smallest country, with a population of only close to a thousand or just a bit over it. Despite its small size, it is one of the most visited places in the world. This is mainly because it is in the middle part of Rome and the area is filled with the most breath-taking and beautiful old monasteries, churches and museums. This is the home of Roman Catholicism and it is also called as the Holy See since it is where the Pope lives.
The Holy See expands over a hill to the west of Tiber River and it is isolated from the rest of the city of Rome by means of a wall. Vatican City is composed of St Peter's Square, St Peter's Church, the Vatican Gardens and the Vatican. The City of Vatican is most known to travelers and architecture students for the marvelous St Peter's Basilica. There is a lot to see in this state and most Catholic believers are left with the feeling of holiness after they have visited this country.
On the whole it is a tiny yet extremely abundant place of one of the world's largest religions. This is where the Pope lives and this is where you can take a look at his private chapel. This is also the place where the bones of Saint Peter are kept. A lot more things can be seen on the different places in this state, all recognized internationally as dazzling pieces of art.
