By Train: Amtrak is the national rail passenger corporation and operates long-distance travel in the country. However, delays are common and some routes are limited. If time is not of the essence, this can be one of the best ways to view the country.

By Bus : Greyhound is the country's only nationwide bus line. This is the cheapest form of travel in the US, and practical if you want to travel between cities. It can be uncomfortable and slow though, and Amtrak offers similar prices.
