Ramadan

The Ramadan in a month long Islamic celebration where everyone feasts between sunrise and sunset to conform to the fourth pillar of Islam. It ends with the feast called Eid a-Fitr.

Eid a-Fitr

It is a huge feast at the end of the Ramadan where everyone prays together, visits friends, gives presents and eats until they are fit to bursting.

Eid al-Adha

The Eid al-Adha is held around March and is the other big feast of the year and marks the time when Muslims must make the haji, which is a pilgrimage to Mecca .

National Day

Held on the 3 rd of September, this is the only non-religious holiday in Qatar.
