Hotels and resorts are usually heavily booked during Christmas and the New Year, and during the week before Easter, which is Semana Santa. These events signal the peak period of domestic travels.

Mexico 's climate has a little of everything for everyone, where you can expect dry and moderate weather at higher elevations like Guadalajara and Mexico City , and hot and humid along the coastal areas and plains. Be advised though of the southern coast around the months of July to September, as most resorts you will find are packed and crowded. Starting in July and ending in August is also the peak holiday months for foreign tourists, so try to avoid these months or book earlier than usual.
