Mexico, events
Almost every month in Mexico , visitors can expect at least one major national holiday or fiesta. Local saint's days or town fairs are also common almost every other day.
A big celebration right before Lent called Carnaval is held during late February or early March, particularly in the areas of Mazatlan , Veracruz , and La Paz . Dia de los Muertos, one of the country's most featured fiestas, is held the day after All Saints' Day on November 2. The day celebrates the return of the souls of the dear departed. Another major event in Mexico is the Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Held every December 12, it commemorates the country's major religious icon.
