Time Local time is GMT +1 (GMT +2 between the last Sunday in March and the Saturday before the last Sunday in October).

Money : The official currency is the Hungarian Forint (Ft), divided into 100 fillér. Travelers checks are not usually honored, so tourists are encouraged to bring credit cards.

Passport/visa note: Tourists holding valid US or Canadian passports do not need visas if their stay does not exceed 90 days. Passports must be valid for at least another six months from the planned date of arrival into Hungary.
