Tourist Information about Costa Rica
Also known as the Rich Coast in Sapnish, the Republic of Costa Rica boasts a diverse history. Situated mainly in Central America , it is enclosed by Nicaragua in the north and Panama in the southeast. This vast land is divided into seven provinces, namely, Alajuela, Cartago, Guanacaste, Heredia, Limón, Puntarenas, and San José , with this last province serving as its capital. In contrary to i ts continental neighbors, Costa Rica is an outstanding paradigm of political stability in the region, and occasionally referred to as the " Switzerland of Central America ."
Costa Rica , although basically still depends on the agriculture, has attained a relatively high standard of living. There is a prevalence of land ownership and tourism is a briskly growing industry. Costa Rica 's economy relies on tourism, agriculture, and electronics exports. It emerged from depression in 1997 and has then shown resiliency on its growth. This country is in its true sense, a heaven, famous for its tropical rain forests, active volcanoes, palm tree-lined beaches, national parks, picturesque mountains, amazing sunsets and its overall awe-inspiring beauty.
