Cambodia, getting there and around

By Air
Cambodia has six commercial airports. The largest is the Pochentong International Airport which is near Phnom Penh while the others can be found at Siem Reap, Bottambang, Mondul Kiri, Ratanak Kiri and Stung Treng. The number of flights from neighboring countries serving Phnom Penh and Siem Reap is steadily increasing. The better choice, however, is from Bangkok in Thailand. Major Airlines serving the area include Thai Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Silk Air Airlines, Bangkok Airways, China Southern Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Lao Airlines and Eva Air.
By Land
There are five overland crossings available to foreigners - two each are from Thailand and Vietnam and one from Laos. One can either take the train or an air-conditioned bus for overland trips.
By Water
Private boats can be hired on the Mekong between Voen Kham and Stung Treng, although visas are not issued on either side of the border.
Getting Around

Cambodia has thirteen usable airways, only eight of which has permanent surface runways. There are regular domestic flights served by various airlines.
