Tourist Information about Bolivia

Known as the " Tibet of the Americas ", Bolivia is the highest and most remote country in South America with most of its population living at altitudes ranging from 9,000 feet to 13,000 feet.

Its history is still preserved as life for the people in Bolivia has not changed much through the years. People here still stick to the same practices they have for centuries, from their agriculture to their architecture up to the way they dress, even their music and handicrafts have not changed. It is this, aside from the vast untouched mountain land that tourists flock to. The people in fact are the tourist attraction and the country a lush backdrop to a world that is as historically significant as a visit to a museum, the difference being that the air is a lot fresher.

As for the thrill seeker, Bolivia offers mountain trekking, boating and spelunking through its mines.
