Devil's Carnival (La Diablada)

For three days in spring the province of Oruro celebrates La Diblada which roughly translates as the Devil's Carnival. It is a festival filled with music dance and celebration. In contrast to its name though the festival celebrates the mining goddess or the Virgen del Sovacón and Mother Earth or Pachamama.
